Corporate Videos

tarmac2.jpg - 6840 Bytes When video arrived Paddy recognised that it would gradually if not quickly take over from film. He resolved not to be left in a backwater of frustrated film directors and became one of the pioneers in the corporate video business.

The strict disciplines of film were very helpful. His first video was about dentistry for ICI. He shot a technically difficult 25 minute programme on four 20 minute rolls of tape - most scenes ‘Take 1’ after proper rehearsal.

Arriving in the edit suite with these, the editor, Pete Cartwright, said to Paddy, "Where’s the rest of the material?" "That’s the lot," replied Paddy. "Really?!!!! Well, just look at this!" said Pete and showed him a room stacked with tapes from the last programme he’d edited, "125 rolls to make the same programme length as your’s!"

As a result Paddy never stopped working. Sony, Vauxhall Motors and the some of the biggest financial institutions in the City became regular video clients. It was a roller coaster which generated more and more productions and more and more awards in UK and overseas.

Paddy’s list of Corporate Clients is substantial.
