Goetre - 15k

Fred and Alison Whowell opened Goetre Isaf Farmhouse to Bed and Breakfast guests in 1986. It is only 2 miles outside Bangor on the north side of the A4087. It is situated in the middle of 9 acres with an extensive garden and walks around two hillsides overlooking the Menai Strait and the Snowdonia mountain range.

The house dates back to the 18th century with its original inglenook fireplace. Accommodation consists of one double or family room and two twin bedded rooms, one of which can be en suite. Evening meals always take advantage of local produce and this is reflected in the entry in "The Red Book. Eat Well in Wales".

Goetre Isaf is currently AA and RAC 3 Diamonds, WTB 2 star, and Brittany Ferries and "Guide du Routard" listed. It is a first class touring centre and stabling is available upon request. Collection from Bangor train or bus station by prior arrangement.
